A 7-Day Exploration of Culture, Nature, and Heritage

Day 1: Arrival in Colombo and Transfer to Sigiriya

  • Upon your arrival at Bandaranaike International
    Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your guide
    and embark on a scenic 3-hour journey to Sigiriya.
    On reaching this historic town, you will be
    immersed in traditional village life during the
    Sigiriya Village Tour. Experience the charm of
    rural Sri Lanka with a bullock cart ride, a
    catamaran boat trip, and a hands-on cooking
    demonstration. A traditional Sri Lankan lunch in
    the village will be served as part of this cultural
    immersion.
  • Later in the afternoon, you will venture on an exciting
    Minneriya National Park Safari, famous for its
    majestic wild elephants and diverse wildlife. The day
    concludes with check-in at your hotel in Sigiriya, where
    you can relax and enjoy your evening.

Day 2: Sigiriya to Nuwara Eliya via Cultural and Scenic Stops

  • After a hearty breakfast, begin your drive
    to Nuwara Eliya, also known as “Little
    England”, which takes about five and a half
    hours. Along the way, you have the option
    to embark on a breathtaking Hot Air
    Balloon Ride over the Sigiriya area,
    offering a panoramic view of the cultural
    triangle.
  • You will then stop for a scenic view of the Sigiriya
    Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, also
    visit the profound ancient Dambulla Cave Temple.
    Next, explore a Spice Garden and discover the rich
    botanical heritage of Sri Lanka’s Ayurvedic
    traditions. En route, marvel at the cascading
    Ramboda Falls and enjoy a tour of a Tea Factory,
    where you can learn about the process of tea making
    and taste some world-famous Ceylon tea.
    Arrive in Nuwara Eliya by evening and check into your hotel for a restful overnight stay.

Day 3: Nuwara Eliya – Waterfalls and White-Water Adventure

  • Following breakfast, the day kicks off
    with visits to two iconic waterfalls –
    the towering Devon Waterfall and the
    sprawling St. Clair’s Waterfall. Both
    are set amidst the lush green hills of
    Sri Lanka’s tea country and offer
    perfect photo opportunities.
  • In the afternoon, head to Kithulgala, a village
    renowned for White Water Rafting on the Kelani
    River. This location, known for its scenic beauty,
    also holds cinematic history as a filming location
    for “The Bridge on the River Kwai.” After an
    adrenaline-filled excursion, return to your hotel
    in Nuwara Eliya for an overnight stay

Day 4: Exploring Nuwara Eliya and Excursion to Ella

  • After breakfast, begin your adventure with a
    visit to a local Strawberry Garden, where
    you can witness strawberry cultivation and
    taste fresh berries right off the plant. Then
    set off on a scenic excursion to Ella, a
    beautiful hill town renowned for its
    panoramic views, adventure activities, and
    relaxed vibe
  • Begin your Ella experience with an adrenaline-pumping ride on
    the Rawana Flying Fox Zip Line, one of the longest zip lines in
    South Asia, offering stunning aerial views of the lush valley.
    You may also opt for other thrilling activities such as
    abseiling, rock climbing, or hiking to the iconic Nine Arches
    Bridge or Little Adam’s Peak, depending on your interest and
    time.
    After an exciting day filled with exploration and adventure, return to Nuwara Eliya in the
    evening for a relaxing overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 5: Nuwara Eliya to Bentota via Pinnawala Elephant Experience

  • After breakfast, check out and begin your journey from
    Nuwara Eliya to Bentota with an enriching stop at the
    Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Here, you’ll enjoy a variety
    of elephant experiences including the heartwarming sight of
    elephants bathing in the river, elephant rides, and a visit to
    the Elephant Museum to learn about conservation efforts
    and the gentle giants’ stories.
    After this memorable interaction with the elephants, continue your journey to the
    coastal town of Bentota. Check in to your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening by the beach.

 

Day 6: Bentota City Tour & Adventure Day

  • Today is all about coastal exploration and fun! Begin your day with a serene Madhu River
    Safari, where you’ll glide through mangroves and discover hidden islets and traditional
    fishing villages. Follow it up with a visit to the Turtle Hatchery, a conservation center
    dedicated to protecting endangered sea turtles.
    In the afternoon, indulge in some thrilling water sports at the Bentota River – jet skiing,

    relaxation or a walk along the shore.

Day 7: Bentota to Airport – Departure
